Creative cluster "Labor Quarter"

Yakutsk, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

Area: 14,600 sq.m.

In Yakutia, one of the priority areas of development is the creative industry. This is confirmed by the creation of the first and largest creative cluster in the Far East.

The design of the former meat processing plant built in 1976 was taken as a basis. The building had been abandoned for a long time. And the team was faced with the task of "revitalizing" it in the literal sense of the word.

And it has become a challenge of the time, the priority task is to create such a space where all creative directions and creative industries of the region will gather.

A tremendous amount of work has been done to reconstruct the building. The basis was the future purpose of the object: sketch project, design project, project and working documentation were created for its functional operation. The result was a large and unique project with an area of approximately fifteen thousand square meters.

The Labor Quarter, as it was intended, has become a true center of attraction for creative people, an oasis of development, entrepreneurship and cultural recreation. Alexei Chekunkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, personally attended the opening ceremony.

Key areas of resident activity: animation, film, computer graphics, photo and video production, blogging, creative agencies, marketing and branding, designers, architectural and design firms, visual and performing arts industries, education, etc.
