Park named after. Sergey Vasilyev - Borogonsky (filters: both landscape and architecture are realized)
Nyurba, Nyurba ulus, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)Area: 15.73 hectares
The city park is an iconic place for the residents of Nyurba. More than one generation of citizens has grown up here, among the birch alley, which is in fact an amazing and unusual phenomenon for the nature of Yakutia.
The project is aimed at revitalizing the park, preserving its identity and identity. The cultural code of the Sakha people was taken as the basis for the identity. The circle is one of the most important forms in Yakut culture - it is an amulet, a sign of the sun, utensils, buildings, and the national circular dance osuokhai.
In the functional zoning of the territory, the project takes into account all the necessary points of attraction for the organization of quality leisure activities for residents: an entrance group with swings, an art zone, a children's playground divided by age categories, a year-round pavilion, a summer pavilion, a quiet zone, an amphitheater with a stage, a youth zone with a jump track, a bicycle lane around the circle and a unique workout area with author Korkin's exercise equipment.
The founder of the park, Sergei Vasilyev, dreamed that apple trees would grow here. In the summer of 1937, guests from all over the republic and central cities of the Soviet Union came to celebrate the grand opening of the park. And, before the amazed eyes of the guests there was an amazing picture - small red apples were growing on the birch trees in the park. Only after a closer look, the guests saw that they were not apples at all, but eggshells, carefully colored and hung by the residents of the city. This is how Sergei Vasiliev made his dream come true with the help of activists and community members of Nyurba. At that time, the Nyurba park became one of the three most beautiful parks in the Far East of the USSR. This unique story was supported by the residents and they proposed to plant an apple alley at the entrance to the park.
One of the key objectives of the project is economic efficiency. The main object of creating conditions for entrepreneurial and socio-cultural activities was a year-round pavilion "Olokh" (‘Life’) in the shape of a circle. The warm space houses a café, rental, public restroom, and open space for events. Playgrounds for children are set up next to and behind the pavilion. A wooden pedestrian bridge will connect the area to Lake Melnik, where an ice skating rink can be organized in winter and boating and relaxing by the water in summer.
